Security Solutions from a unique Cultural Intelligence, Emotional Intelligence and Cultural Competence perspective
One of the areas I appear to be greatly appreciated by my clients is around my holistic response to their security requirements, by taking into account their background, current and historical intelligence. I integrate this with my vast experience, expertise and knowledge that I refer to as cultural competence and intelligence, which is invariably missed by many other security advisors.
Through my strong emphasis on ethics and integrity I provide a wide scope of security solutions for a cross section of corporate clients, ranging from the arts to high-level technology, with a great emphasis on my personal touch in reassuring the client. Also I am able to call on a range of practitioners with similar values and ability, to ensure the client gets the best fit in mitigating the risks they face.
I have also consolidated and expanded my security partnerships across the Caribbean region since retiring in 2013; in particular working with Neptune Mobile, a specialist Pan-Caribbean secure mobile communications services company. Similarly, I have raised my presence in Africa through my partnership with RisXcel, a corporate management training and development organization.

I am a retired Superintendent who served 30 years, 1983-2013, in the Metropolitan Police Service.
My last operational and most significant posting of my career was between November ’07 – February ’13,
as part of the national police team that successfully co-ordinated the safety & security of the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympics Games across the UK.
I also contributed to the post Games legacy security report to Her Majesty’s Government, before retiring in July 2013.
It still gives me great pride to be heavily associated with one of the most successful Olympic and Paralympic Games. Not only as a great sporting spectacle but also in showing the British Police Service at its best. In terms of light touch accountable policing, in addition to innovation and creativity.
Fortunately I have been awarded the MBE from Queen Elizabeth and an Honorary Doctorate from the University of East London, for my contribution to policing.
Even though my operational policing days are behind me, I am still responding to the calling of public service in terms of the large number of voluntary organisations I work with. Primarily through REALLITY social enterprise [www.reallity.org] that I am the founder member and Chairman of since 2007, especially around making safer and stronger communities.
Part of my calling has also involved my response to the needs of
individuals and organisations that have asked for my advice in solving their security problems, not only strategically but in operational and tactical terms. Consequently, I have formed REALLITY Security Solutions, building on my expertise and credibility in safety and security matters; from street crime to counter terrorism. Not only in London or in the United Kingdom but also internationally, through relationships I have fostered throughout my career and beyond.
